The chain sawnblank for bowl # 303 is mounted on the lathe with a 6" threaded faceplate
and is now ready to begin turning to shape.
The Cherry blank is in
the process of being cut to it's basic shape. For all of the roughing
cuts that require removing large amounts of material I use a 5/8"
Hamlet bowl gouge. This tool is a real work horse and is available
through Craft Supplies USA Provo UT www.woodturnerscatalog.com
One
of my favorite places to shop.
